A modern
platform for
direct bookings

Nutmeg's Booking System is built around one number: how many visitors finish the booking. Every step — availability, options, payment — is tuned to convert. And the e-ticket that follows turns the same booking into seamless entry on arrival, so one flow carries the guest from browsing to admission.

Who it's for and when

Who it's for

The moment a guest decides to buy is the moment you win or lose the sale. The Booking System is where that decision turns into a finished booking — inside a minute, in their own language, with the ticket already waiting in their phone.

How it works

What the Booking System actually does

Designed for a high CVR

A visitor gives your site about a minute, so every part of that minute points at one thing: finishing the booking. What appears first, what gets asked, what gets skipped — each step has been cut and re-ordered until booking direct feels smoother than the OTA the guest would otherwise have used.

Booked in under a minute

Sounds native in every language

Turn on only the languages you actually need. AI translates the whole flow — product names, options, confirmation email, e-ticket — in wording that reads like a person wrote it, not a machine. Nothing else changes: guests book in the language they think in, in the same few steps.

Add a language in a click

Faster entry, shorter lines

The ticket lives in the guest's phone browser — nothing printed, nothing installed, always the current version. At entry they swipe to redeem and the pass turns single-use on the spot: no scanner to aim, no dim screen to re-scan, and no screenshot that works twice. Entry — a gate, a dock, a shuttle door — becomes a second per party instead of a line.

No scanners to maintain

Goodbye to complicated setup

Availability, seasonal prices, capacity, blackout dates — the setup and the edits that usually eat an afternoon. Hand them to the AI in plain words: it applies the change across every date it touches, then shows you exactly what it did before anything goes live. The afternoon of admin turns into a minute of review.

Save hours every season

One login, not five tools

Waivers, reviews, guest messaging, seat and resource management — the pieces most operators buy separately are already inside, and because they were built together they behave as one. Set it up once and every part follows; open a booking once and everything attached to it is right there. No tools to connect, nothing to export, nothing to check twice.

No screen hopping

AI covers every channel

The big OTAs connect the usual way, so availability and rates stay in sync on their own. The difference is everything else: the small agent who emails a request, the hotel concierge who messages one, the tour desk that phones it in. The AI reads those, turns them into real bookings on the same calendar, and keeps the seat count honest — no re-keying, no double-selling.

Features

Guest-friendly booking

Everything we know about finishing a booking inside a minute, built into one page — date, time, add-ons, details, and payment in three steps.

AI translation

Switch on the languages you need. The flow, the confirmation email, and the e-ticket all read as if written in that language.

Mobile e-ticket

The ticket lives in the guest’s phone browser. A swipe redeems it at entry and the pass becomes single-use on the spot.

AI setup assistant

Ask in plain words and the AI applies start times, seasonal prices, and capacity across every date — shown for approval first.

All-in-one operations

Waivers, reviews, guest messaging, seats and resources are built in, so one booking carries all of it under one login.

AI channel manager

OTAs connect by API; requests that arrive by email, message, or phone are read by AI and booked on the same calendar.

Getting started

From setup to your first direct booking in a day

  1. 1

Live in a day, new or migrating

AI reads your current booking system and builds the setup for you — products, time slots, capacity, pricing, and rules. New or migrating, you're live in a day.

  2. 2

See direct bookings rise right away

The difference shows up in the conversion rate almost immediately — the same traffic you already have starts finishing far more bookings. No waiting for a season to prove it.

  3. 3

Run the day from one screen

Reservations, capacity, waivers, and payments are worked from one screen, so the switching, re-typing, and cross-checking between tools simply stops — hours back every week.

  4. 4

    Sync every channel with AI

APIs, agent emails, concierge messages — AI takes them all onto one calendar. A booking anywhere updates capacity everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

How long does setup take?

About a day. AI reads your current booking system and builds the setup for you — products, time slots, capacity, pricing, and rules — and our team reviews it with you before you go live.

Do we have to replace our current booking system?

Only if you want to. Nutmeg connects over OCTO, the open standard for tours and activities, so it can run alongside the system you use today — availability and bookings pass between the two. Moving everything across is your call, on your timeline.

Does the AI change our availability and pricing on its own?

No. The AI drafts the change and shows you every date it touches — the times it adds, the prices it moves, the capacity it sets, and the dates it deliberately left alone. Nothing goes live until you approve it.

Do we need scanners or any hardware at entry?

No. The e-ticket lives in the guest’s phone browser and a swipe redeems it, so there is no scanner to buy, charge, or repair. The pass becomes single-use the moment it is redeemed, so a screenshot won’t get anyone in twice.

How do bookings from agents and concierges reach our calendar?

The large OTAs connect over API. For everything else — the agent who emails a request, the concierge who messages one, the desk that phones it in — AI reads it and creates the booking on the same calendar, so capacity stays correct without anyone re-keying it.

How many languages does it support?

Turn on as many as you need. AI translates the booking flow, the confirmation email, and the e-ticket, and formats dates and times for each language, so it reads as though it were written in that language rather than machine-translated.

Does it work for tours, attractions, and activities?

Yes — tours, activities, and attractions, and just as often resort operations: spa treatments, on-property activities, and airport or shuttle transfers. Time slots, capacity, options, and pricing rules work the same way for all of them.

Can guests book directly from my website and chatbot?

Yes. The Booking System powers direct bookings on your own site, and connects to Nutmeg’s AI Chatbot so guests can check live availability and book from a conversation — capturing the sale while intent is hot.

Is my guest and payment data secure?

Yes. The platform is SOC 2 audited, meaning security controls are independently verified — not self-attested.
